Ingredients
- Tomato (1)
- Dried California Chiles (3)
- Lean Ground Beef [7% fat] (1 lbs.)
- Potatoes (3)
- Salt
- Garlic
- Cumin
- Black Pepper
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Put 3 California chiles and 1 tomato to boil
- Pre-heat pan on medium flame; coat in olive oil
- Tear beef into little pieces and put in pan
- Turn heat up to medium-high
- Peel potatoes
- Season beef with [aprox.] 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Mash beef with masher
- Put flame to lowest level
- Cover pan
- Cut potato to small pieces; put in pan then cover pan again; do this with all potatoes
- Stir & cover
- Put the boiled chiles and tomato into blender; add 1 clove of garlic; add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin; add 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper; add a splash of the water used to boil
- Blend
- Continually stir beef & potatoes
- When potatoes begin to soften a little, add the blended chile
- Rinse blender with a splash of water and add to meat
- Stir
- Let sit on lowest level flame until potatoes are completely soft
- Done.
